The staff were welcoming and courteous in case of questions.

Facilities were good, nevertheless Wi-Fi was very spotty.

The room was nice and with comfy beds. Nice decor, central heating and an electric kettle. The location for Ambleside was stunning and lovely, near to the main pubs and restaurants and the local bus station and the centre on Ambleside. Its personnel was AMICABLE and caring, no complains at all.

Convenient spot close to a quiet street and right by the main hangout spots with lots of food and drink options. Also near Windermere for some good views 🌄.

The hotel offers excellent value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. Situated over a friendly pub in the beautiful Lake District, it provides a unique and lively atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the basic amenities are well-maintained. The rooms, including those with a 4 poster and en suite bathroom, are equipped with all the usual facilities you would expect. Additionally, the included breakfast is a great start to the day.

All was satisfactory during our stay.

The hotel is conveniently located in the village center, close to all shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even helping guests with last-minute room changes. The rooms are clean and cozy, with a delicious breakfast to start the day off right.

The bar has early closing times, which can be disappointing for guests who want to enjoy a late-night drink.

The Unicorn is a charming pub with real character, located in the heart of a quaint village. Being around for over 700 years, it exudes an authentic and historical ambiance. The friendly staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, offering clear directions and recommendations for local eateries. The comfortable rooms provide all the necessary amenities, including unexpected touches like a hairdryer. The full breakfast is delicious, and the bar offers a wide selection of drinks, including a tempting gin menu.

Some rooms may have a slight unpleasant smell, which can be attributed to the nature of an old building.

I stayed at The Unicorn in Ambleside for one night during the Christmas Lights switch on. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the chef catered effortlessly for our large group. The rooms, although a bit tired, were clean and perfect for a single traveler. The location was fantastic, right in the center of Ambleside with plenty of people and a great atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and served quickly. a great experience and I would definitely stay again.

This hotel in the Lake District is full of character and well worth visiting. The friendly staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and their attention to detail is evident throughout. The rooms are comfortable and come with all the usual facilities you would expect, including a bathroom en suite. The location is superb, situated over a friendly pub where you can enjoy a drink or two in the evenings. And the breakfast served in the morning is absolutely fantastic - a great way to start the day.

All in all, I had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was ok.
